100th Blog Post!

I can’t believe I’ve reached my 100th blog post already. I’ve been having so much fun in blogging cyberspace that I didn’t notice the time whizzing by, and because I wouldn’t still be blogging if it were not for all the heartfelt comments I’ve received over the last few months, which have motivated and inspired me to continue writing, I wanted to dedicate a new award to the bloggers who’ve taken the time to comment.

So if you’ve ever commented on one of my blog posts or are commenting today for the first time, the Comments with Heart Award is especially for you.

There is just one small rule for picking up the award: please leave a comment below telling us what commenting means to you. Share with us the highs, lows, laughs, and sometimes tears of blog commenting.

  1. Wow! 100th blog post eh? I've got another 46 posts to go yet :P

As for what commenting means to me...I like to put in my two penneth, for what it's worth anyway. Plus it can allow you to get in touch with the blogger...

Also it's nice to see the occasional email telling me someone's commented on my blog :)

  2. Wow Congratulations Ellie! I love the reciprocation that goes with blogging,as we hope from one blog to another sharing comments/ the conversation between bloggers sharing their ideas and feelings about the posts. I love to be entertained and informed and it's great when others share the same ideas and views.I love the validation that what has been written is appreciated by others. :O)

  3. Wow! Ellie thats great. I have 39 more posts before I reach 100.

Commenting for me is a way of interacting with another writer/blogger and sharing my thoughts on the entire journey called writing: with its ups and downs, stumbles and bumps and highs and lows.

  6. Awwwwww!!! I love me some comments!! LOL!!

Commenting for me is my way of reciprocating and saying thank you for reading my silly blog!! It's also a way of saying how I appreciate what the blogger writes/presents in their blog - I like to think I've gotten to know them better! I also am always in AWE at the amount of talent out here in blogland - from writers, to photographers, to just entertaining blog pieces!!

    Take care

  8. Congratulations on your 100th post! It's amazing where the time goes isn't it? Your post made me check just how many posts I have put up since I started blogging nearly 4 years ago - 775 - I'm shocked!

I think all bloggers will agree they all love comments - it's what makes posting worth the effort. :)

  9. Congratulations! :) I just checked and I'm around 475 posts, but I've been doing this for a couple years.

Comments mean friendship to me. I have made friends from around the world by commenting on blogs. I may never meet them in person, but I still consider them true friends.

  10. Well done! It's good to share moments like this and it's an encouragement to keep writing. (Because blogging IS writing - even if you're unlikely to end up in an anthology)

    Here's to another 100!

    Hurrah!! Congratumalations, Ellie!!

Comments? I wasn't expecting this, but (despite my big mouth and the foot in it?) I've made some lovely friends through the comment boxes - mine and theirs, so for me commenting is a forming a personal connection between the blogger and their readers, and expanding a thought or piece of writing into a conversation between several people.

Comments... Well, often when I'm reading a post I'm just itching to add what I think about it... Other than that, I know the warm, fuzzy feeling I get when (nice!) comments pop up on my blog, and I like to return the feeling!

  27. Congratulations on your 100th post. I have been remiss in not checking it out before, for which I humbly apologise.

My memory is terrible and it kept slipping my mind that you had started this. I've been a bit of a rubbish friend, after all the support you have given me.

It's a fantastic blog Ellie, brilliantly constructed and professional. Well done.

Keep blogging but not to the detriment of your writing.

  28. Feedback is great. Without it, sometimes it feels we might as well write in the sand with our fingers.

If I read something great I want the author to know it's great.

  30. Congrats on 100 blog posts!

Commenting to me is great because it's a way to connect with others.

When others comment on my posts, it's not about seeing how great I am or who likes my posts, it's about seeing how others view the topics I put out there (and possibly learning something new)

When I comment, it's about giving back to the blogger who took the time to write. It's about participating in a dialogue/ discussion about the topic at hand.

And I know I've made some great friends through commenting.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Congratulations! Only a blogger knows how much work each post meant, which is why I appreciate comments that much more. Comments mean someone cared to stop by and encourage us or to give us new perspective.

  32. I've met an awful lot of new friends through comments. Blogging is the best thing I've ever done.

Commenting on a blog is a little like being at a party. It's no fun being the quiet wallflower. The real action is on the dance floor. :) So I get up to dance every chance I get.

  33. Congrats on 100!!! That's awesome. It's so cool you even noticed. The Where's My Voice blog was my 100. I didn't even pay attention. So glad you did!!! FANTASTIC ELLIE!!!
