Live. Love. Write.

Instead of the usual Wednesday speculative fiction writer post, I have a message I want to share this week:
Live. Love. Write.

Live your life for today. Don't wait for tomorrow. Don't make excuses. Don't blame others. Stop being afraid to take chances or try new things.

Love your family. Love your friends. Give back as much as you receive. Don't ask what they can do for me - ask what you can do for them.

Write. Every. Day. No excuses. What are you waiting for?  What's the worst that can happen?

Do you have a message you'd like to share?

  4. To add to your suggestions:
Tell those you love that you love them - don't wait til tomorrow or assume they know.

Also, don't put everything off for another day. Life has a way of disturbing our plans. So be sure to live in the moment too.

  5. What is the worst that can happen? Besides, it's what we don't do that we regret.

  6. These are wise words, Ellie! In my life, there is another aspect that's important--Laughter! Humor is so important in our everyday lives--to laugh at ourselves and with others helps us cope, helps our stress and it helps us heal...wishing you much laughter in your life, my dear:)

  8. Hugses.

I agree with Sam that life must have much laughter. When I get irked with Husband Unit, I remember I'd be worse off without him and find I readily forgive the small crap.

  10. Awesome reminders, Ellie! I laugh a lot, too.....and many times it's because of something silly/dumb I've said, done, thought about, etc! Have you read my recent blog post about my "tumble" on Sunday morning? I guarantee it will make you laugh! Hugs to you!

  11. Living with courage seems to encompass all of those thoughts. May we all be as strong as our visions of ourselves imagine!

  12. I think this is sound advice. I'm going to join a writer's group as well. I think showing your work to other's helps keep one motivated.

  13. Hi Ellie - living life to the full, be it gently within one's arena of life, or buzzing along with the world in general - being caring and compassionate to all around us ... giving more than we get ..

    Cheers Hilary

  14. I don't know whether this feels more like a slap on the wrist because I don't always do these things, or a hug to remind me to! x

  16. I can do the first two Ellie, but I'd have to paint instead of the last one. Great advice.
